Miralem Pjanic - 285.75 Performance Pts
Born: 02/04/1990 Tuzla, Bosnia And Herzegovina
Position: Midfielder Height: 1.78m Weight: 72kg
Pjanic is
a talented midfielder currently playing for CSKA Moscow and was also a Bosnian
international achieving 115 caps. He represented them at their first ever major
tournament - the 2014 World Cup; he had the honour of scoring in Bosnia’s first
ever tournament victory (3-1 against Iran) but they were unable to make it past
the group stage. His professional club career began with Metz in 2007; despite
suffering relegation in his debut season, his performances attracted numerous
suitors, and he joined Lyon in 2008. That same season that saw Metz go down
(2007-08) was also the last of Lyon's 7 successive championships, and despite
finishing in the top 3 in each of his 3 seasons there, Pjanic failed to lift
the Ligue Un title. He moved to Italy in 2011 and spent 5 seasons with Roma.
Title success still eluded him, although the Giallorossi did achieve a couple
of 2nd place finishes. For anyone wanting to taste title success in Serie A at
this time, joining Juventus would be the wisest move, and so it proved. Pjanic
came to Turin in 2016 and won 4 consecutive Scudetti. He joined Barcelona in
2020 and stayed there for 2 seasons without leaving much of a mark, before spending
2 years in the UAE league.
