Bixente Lizarazu - 285.55 Performance Pts
Born: 09/12/1969 Saint-Jean-De-Luz, France
Position: Full Back Height: 1.69m Weight: 69kg
Lizarazu first came to prominence as an attacking full-back with Bordeaux and spent 8 years there. They achieved a 2nd place finish in Ligue Un in 1990 but were relegated due to financial difficulties the following year. Lizarazu stayed loyal, helping them to immediate promotion, and broke into the French national side in 1992. He became the first Frenchman to play for Athletic Bilbao, who have a Basque only selection policy. However, after an injury hit season, moved to Bayern Munich in 1997. He spent 9 years in Germany, apart from a 6-month spell with Marseille in 2004, and won 6 Bundesliga titles, plus the 2001 Champions League. He also lifted trophies on the international stage with France - the 1998 World Cup and the 2000 European Championships and won 97 caps in total. Since retirement he's pursued his interest in Brazilian ju-jitsu, so despite being diminutive he's not to be messed with.
