William Gallas - 285.50 Performance Pts
Born: 17/08/1977 Asnieres, France
Position: Central Defender Height: 1.83m Weight: 83kg
Gallas
played for 12 seasons in the Premier League, all with London clubs - 5 with
Chelsea, 4 with Arsenal and 3 with Tottenham: he's the only player to represent
all 3 clubs. He only tasted trophy success at Stamford Bridge, being part of
the side that ended Chelsea's 50 year wait for the top-flight title in 2005. He
was part of a miserly defence that retained the title the following year. He'd
previously played in his homeland for Caen and Marseille before Claudio Ranieri
signed him for Chelsea in 2001. Gallas moved across the capital as part of the
deal that took Ashley Cole to Chelsea in 2006. Arsenal fell short of seriously
challenging for the title during this period. Gallas also picked up 84
international caps, which included playing all 7 of France's matches at the
2006 World Cup; he was also the scorer of the controversial goal which helped
eliminate the Republic of Ireland in the play-off for the 2010 World Cup,
following Thierry Henry's handball. After leaving Spurs in 2013, he played in
Australia for Perth Glory for a year before retiring.
