Lichtsteiner, with his 7 Serie A titles with Juventus, and over 100 international caps, is possibly the most successful Swiss footballer in history. He started out in his home country, with Grasshoppers; he joined Ligue Un side Lille in 2005, and spent 3 seasons there before moving to Italy, firstly with Lazio. 3 years there brought Coppa Italia success in 2009, before joining Juventus in 2011 and beginning his run of Serie A successes. After a single season in the Premier League with Arsenal, he joined Bundesliga side Augsburg before retiring in 2020. He was a right-sided player renowned for his speed and athleticism.
