Kevin Richardson - 270.27 Performance Pts
Born: 04/12/1967 Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England
Position: Midfielder Height: 1.70m Weight: 73kg
Everton had an exceptional midfield in the 1980s and
Richardson was usually called upon when injury struck one of the first choices.
He delivered when selected though, most notably with 2 goals at Southampton in
a 2-1 win in 1985. After a season at Watford, he joined Arsenal and was part of
the 1989 title-winning squad. He spent a year in Spain with Real Sociedad,
before returning to England with Aston Villa. Under Ron Atkinson's management,
Villa won the League Cup in 1994; this was also the year that Richardson won
his only England cap. At this time, Terry Venables was experimenting as England
were only playing friendlies, having qualified automatically for Euro 96 as
hosts, so several players were capped without becoming regulars. He also played
in the top division for Coventry (signed again by Atkinson) and Southampton.
