Zé Roberto - 270.08 Performance Pts
Born: 06/07/1974 Sao Paulo, Brazil
Position: Full Back Height: 1.76m Weight: 68kg
Bayer
Leverkusen were establishing themselves as a force in German football around
the turn of the century and were runners up 3 times in the Bundesliga - in
1999, 2000 and 2002. They were also runners-up in the 2002 Champions League
final. Ze Roberto was a popular figure at Leverkusen during this period, having
joined them in 1998. He'd previously tasted title success with Real Madrid in
1997, but didn't establish himself as first choice when in Spain. After the
2002 near-misses, he joined Bayern Munich, and collected 4 Bundesliga titles in
his time there, before joining Hamburg in 2009. Later in his career he played
in Qatar, then back in his native Brazil, before retiring in 2017. He played 84
times at international level; although 2002 was a successful year for Brazil as
they became World Champions, Ze Roberto missed out on the tournament through
injury (which also caused him to miss the 2002 Champions League final).
