Ivan Perišić - 269.52 Performance Pts
Born: 02/02/1989 Split, Croatia
Position: Winger Height: 1.80m Weight: 74kg
The last 15-20 years has truly been a golden age for
Croatian football, with several players, including Perisic, becoming household
names as their nation made their mark on the international stage. Runners up at
the 2018 World Cup, and a 3rd place finish four years later, gives
an indication of this. His equaliser in the 2018 semi-final, and assist for the
winning goal, broke English hearts, and his equaliser in the final gave his
country hope, before France eventually went on to triumph 4-2. Over 100 caps and
over 30 goals emphasise how vital Perisic has been in Croatia’s success. At
club level, he’s now back in his homeland, with his hometown club, Hadjuk
Split. Perisic has played a key role with a few high-profile European clubs; he’s
twice been a Bundesliga title winner (in 2012 with Borussia Dortmund, and in
2020 whilst on loan with Bayern Munich), and was also a Serie A champion with
Inter in 2021. He also lifted the German Cup (DFB-Pokal) during his two-year
spell with Wolfsburg. Prior to his return to Split, he had an injury hit spell
with Tottenham. His seven years at Inter were the longest spell with one club,
making over 200 appearances. That year on loan at Bayern was a huge success. As
well as the Bundesliga / DFB-Pokal domestic double, the season culminated in
Champions League final victory over Paris Saint-Germain.
