Stefano Tacconi - 269.37 Performance Pts
Born: 13/05/1957 Perugia, Italy
Position: Goalkeeper Height: 1.88m Weight: 80kg
Tacconi is
mostly remembered for being between the sticks for Juventus for much of the
1980s, and earned 2 Serie A winner’s medals whilst there, plus the 1985
European Cup. Having started out in the lower divisions, he made his first
Serie A appearance with Avellino in 1980. He joined Juventus in 1983, following
in the footsteps (and gloves) of the legendary Dino Zoff. After 9 seasons in Turin,
he moved to Genoa for 3 more years before hanging up his gloves and boots in
1995. Since retirement he has made a few unsuccessful forays into politics. At
international level, he picked up 7 caps but was mainly regarded as understudy
to Walter Zenga, including at Italia 90.
