Dani Parejo - 269.05 Performance Pts
Born: 16/04/1989 Coslada, Spain
Position: Midfielder Height: 1.80m Weight: 75kg
Extremely knowledgeable QPR fans will remember Parejo for
his brief spell on loan at Loftus Road back in 2008, but for everyone else,
he’s known for a long career in La Liga. Currently with Villarreal, he was part
of their UEFA Europa League winning side in 2021, under Unai Emery’s management.
He was one of 11 successful penalty takers for the Spanish side as they finally
overcame Manchester United in the shoot out in the final. They put paid to
another English side’s hopes at the semi-final stage that year, having overcome
Arsenal. He’s also appeared for Real Madrid and Getafe, but his longest spell
(2011-2020) was with Valencia. The undoubted highlight was the 2019 Copa Del
Rey victory, where club captain Parejo had the honour of lifting the trophy
after Valencia’s surprise 2-1 victory over Barcelona. He's done well to achieve
international recognition, having won 4 caps, considering the other midfield
options available for Spain during his career.
