Bruno Martini - 268.27 Performance Pts
Born: 25/01/1962 Challuy, France Died: 20/10/2020 Montpellier, France
Position: Goalkeeper Height: 1.83m Weight: 78kg
Martini
spent the majority of his career with Auxerre, although he first appeared in
Ligue Un in 1983, whilst on loan at Nancy. He also achieved international
recognition whilst with Auxerre, first appearing for France in 1987. He was
first choice 'keeper during Euro 92, where a much-fancied French team exited at
the group stage. Martini moved on from Auxerre in 1995, thus missing out on the
club's finest hour - the league and cup double success of 1996. To be fair he
had lost his place to Lionel Charbonnier, who had been given the nod for
Auxerre for the victorious 1994 French Cup final. Martini spent the final 4
seasons of his career with Montpellier, retiring in 1999, having made almost
500 league appearances.
