Florent Malouda - 265.92 Performance Pts
Born: 13/06/1980 Cayenne, French Guiana
Position: Winger Height: 1.77m Weight: 73kg
Malouda was
one of those 'skilful but infuriating' players, as is often the case with wingers,
but he had a very successful career. His 80 caps for France included the 2006
World Cup final, where he won the penalty which Zidane converted to give France
the lead, before they eventually lost on penalties to Italy. He started out in
Serie B with Chateauroux, and played for Guingamp (alongside future Chelsea
team-mate, Didier Drogba), before his 2003 move to Lyon. This was during their
run of 7 successive Ligue Un titles, and Malouda played his part in securing 4
of them, before his 2007 move to Chelsea. The Double was achieved in 2010,
followed by Chelsea's finest hour - the 2012 Champions League victory. After
departing Chelsea, he played briefly in Turkey with Trabzonspor, followed by a
return to France with Metz, suffering relegation from Ligue Un in 2015. He also
went on to play in India, Egypt and Luxembourg. His wife is called Florencia,
and one of his daughters is called Flora.
