John O'Shea - 265.91 Performance Pts
Born: 30/04/1981 Waterford, Ireland
Position: Full Back Height: 1.91m Weight: 75kg
O'Shea’s versatility during his time at Manchester United
meant that he was regularly selected to play anywhere in the back-four. He
scored a couple of memorable goals for United, including the final goal, with
an exquisite chip, in a 4-2 win against Arsenal in 2005 (the 'pre-match bust-up
in the tunnel' match), and the injury-time winner in a 1-0 win at Anfield in
2007. He left Old Trafford in search of regular first-team football, joining
Sunderland in 2011. Having been part of a squad that didn't finish outside the
top 3 during his ten years at United, he found himself regularly battling
against relegation at Sunderland. They eventually went down in 2017. And again
in 2018. He won over 100 caps for the Republic of Ireland over a 17-year
period, and finished his playing career after a brief spell at Reading.
