Amor spent 10 years with Barcelona and was part of the much heralded '4-in-a-row' side that were La Liga champions from 1991 to 1994, under Johan Cruyff. He picked up another title just for good measure in his final season at the Nou Camp, in 1998. He also appeared 37 times for Spain, including at Euro 96. He scored his penalty in the shoot-out against England in the quarter-final, but 2 of his team-mates failed, and Spain were eliminated. In the later part of his career, he had spells with Fiorentina, Villarreal, and, briefly, Livingston in Scotland. He's been involved with youth team coaching with Barcelona since retirement and was also manager of Adelaide United in the Australian League for a couple of years before returning to Spain. He's a native of Benidorm and has a stadium named after him in the town.
