Depetrini
arrived at Juventus in 1933 from his hometown club, Pro Vercelli, just in time
to be part of their great run of league title success, lifting the Serie A
trophy with them in 1934 and 1935. He finally moved on in 1949 to join
neighbours Torino, who were rebuilding after the Superga air disaster at the
time. He finished his playing career in 1951, with those early Scudetto
successes with Juve being the only ones of his career. He won 12 caps for
Italy, mainly during the 1940s, so didn't appear in any competitive
international matches. He returned to Juventus for a brief spell as manager in
the late 50s, and had a spell in charge back at his first club, Pro Vercelli.
