Roberto Donadoni - 261.21 Performance Pts
Born: 09/09/1963 Cisano Bergamasco, Italy
Position: Winger Height: 1.73m Weight: 68kg
Donadoni
was a curly-haired presence in the Italian national side for 10 years,
featuring at 2 World Cups. He missed a penalty in the semi-final shoot out as
hosts Italy lost to Argentina in 1990; he also played in the 1994 final defeat
against Brazil, where this time he was spared the torture of having to take a
penalty in this Italian shoot-out failure. Donadoni started his career with
Atalanta, as they rose from the lower divisions to Serie A in the early 80s,
before joining Milan in 1986. He made his international debut shortly after,
and achieved great success with the Rossoneri, most notably 3 European Cup
successes, in 1989, 1990 and 1994, although he didn't play in the 1990 final.
In 1996, with the Milan side seemingly in decline, Donadoni moved to the US,
joining Metro Allstars. He returned after a season and went on to win his 6th
and final Serie A title with Milan in 1999. He's had a long managerial career
and has taken charge of 7 Italian club sides. He became national team manager
in 2006, after Marcello Lippi's resignation following Italy's World Cup
triumph. Donadoni led the Italians at Euro 2008 where they lost on penalties in
the quarter-final to eventual champions, Spain. Recent football history may
have been very different if Italy had progressed that evening. His currently in
charge of Shenzhen in the Chinese League.
