Ferrari's career pre-dates Serie A. He started out with his local side, Alessandria, making his debut in 1923, and his first Serie A start in 1929. He joined Juventus the following year and was part of the side that won 5 titles in a row, from 1931 to 1935. Success didn't end there; his move to Inter in 1935 resulted in further championship triumphs with the Nerazzurri, in 1938 and 1940. Success didn't end there either; he won another Scudetto with Bologna in 1941, giving him a career total of 8 (a joint record). He then spent a final season back with Juventus, before retiring in 1942. At international level, he was part of the Italian side that won successive World Cups, in 1934 and 1938, scoring in the 1934 tournament and playing in both World Cup finals. 14 goals in 44 games for the Azzurri was a decent tally. His managerial career saw him take charge of the national side, and he was joint manager at the 1962 World Cup - The Battle of Santiago and all that.
