Dave Watson was a rugged centre half who played for Norwich and Everton. Norwich was a bit of a yo-yo club during Watson's time there - relegations in 1981 and 1985 were followed both times by immediate promotions the following season. After the second return, Watson left to join for Everton, and won a league championship medal in his first full season, in 1987. He also lifted the FA Cup with Everton in 1995. After 15 years at Goodison, Watson left to manage Tranmere Rovers for a season.
