Pascal Olmeta - 258.21 Performance Pts
Born: 07/04/1961 Bastia, France
Position: Goalkeeper Height: 1.81m Weight: 80kg
Olmeta first appeared in Ligue Un with his local side, Bastia; he also kept goal in the top- flight for Toulon and Racing Club Paris, suffering relegation with the latter in 1990. He then signed for reigning champions Marseille, who repeated their title success the following 2 years, with Olmeta ever-present in both seasons. The next season, 1992-93, was a strange one for Marseille; having won the title on the pitch, they were stripped of their award, following a bribery scandal. They also won the Champions League that year, although by this time, Olmeta had lost his place to Fabien Barthez. He moved to Lyon at the end of that season and spent 4 years there before seeing out his career in the lower leagues. He never gained full international honours but did represent France at the 2001 Beach World Cup. His main post-retirement career has been as an actor, appearing in several films.
