Paul Le Guen - 254.78 Performance Pts
Born: 01/03/1964 Pencran, France
Position: Midfielder Height: 1.86m Weight: 81kg
Le Guen played for 3 Ligue Un sides during his career -
Brest, Nantes and Paris Saint-Germain; he had the longest, and most successful,
spell in the French capital, winning the league title in 1994 and the 1996 Cup
Winners' Cup. Le Guen also played 17 times for France, featuring in the
infamous defeat to Bulgaria in 1993 which saw France miss out on World Cup
qualification. Le Guen is probably more well-known as a manager, and he's had
an eventful career. He started out at Rennes, before joining the then reigning
champions Lyon in 2002. He led them to 3 more titles in a row, as part of their
7-year reign as Ligue Un winners. His next role, at Rangers, was less
successful; he also suffered a relegation scare when in charge of former club,
PSG. He went on to manage at international level, with Cameroon and Oman, and
had a spell in Turkey with Bursaspor. He's currently back in France, in charge
of 2nd tier side Le Havre.
