Nicky Butt - 253.68 Performance Pts
Born: 21/01/1975 Manchester, England
Position: Midfielder Height: 1.78m Weight: 72kg
Another
successful graduate from Manchester United's feted 'Class of '92', and now part
of the gang that co-owns Salford City. Butt wasn't always first choice at
United, mainly because he was a contemporary of Roy Keane, but still managed to
rack up 6 League titles, and nearly 400 appearances, in his time at Old
Trafford. He won 39 caps for England and featured prominently at the 2002 World
Cup; his performances led Pele, yes Pele, to rate him as 'the best player in
the world' at that point. He left Old Trafford in 2004 to sign for Newcastle
and had a loan spell at Birmingham. Butt's last season was in the Championship,
as Newcastle won promotion back to the top-flight in 2010. One of those players
that is usually classed as solid but unspectacular.
